MariApps Deepens Maritime Software Push with EffiaSoft Acquisition

MariApps Deepens Maritime Software Push with EffiaSoft Acquisition

Singapore — April 7, 2026 — MariApps Marine Solutions has acquired Hyderabad-based EffiaSoft Private Limited, bringing the software firm fully into its operations as it looks to expand its capabilities across maritime and supply chain systems.

The two companies were not new to each other. They had already worked together on cruise and travel-related solutions. This deal formalises that relationship and pulls EffiaSoft’s engineering team directly into MariApps’ product environment.

EffiaSoft develops enterprise software across billing systems, product engineering, and cloud-based platforms, with a focus on scalable, performance-driven applications.

Building More Control Over Product Development

MariApps is using the acquisition to strengthen its smartPAL platform, with a clear push toward deeper supply chain functionality. The priority now is not just adding features, but improving how quickly those features can be developed and deployed.

Bringing the Hyderabad team in-house gives MariApps more control over engineering output at a time when maritime software providers are being pushed to deliver more connected systems. Fleet operations, financial processes, and logistics workflows are increasingly expected to work together, not sit in separate layers.

Sankar Ragavan, CEO of MariApps, said the move aligns with the company’s longer-term effort to build a more integrated technology environment for maritime clients. EffiaSoft’s leadership pointed to the opportunity to apply its engineering capabilities within a global maritime context.

A Shift Toward Integrated Maritime Platforms

The direction of travel in maritime technology is changing. What used to be standalone tools for vessel management is turning into broader platforms that connect ships, cargo, and supply chains in one system.

That shift is forcing companies to rethink how they build. Relying on external development slows things down. Owning the engineering layer gives more flexibility and tighter control over how products evolve.

For MariApps, this is less about adding another capability and more about tightening execution. As competition increases, the ability to integrate faster is starting to matter just as much as the features themselves.

MariApps Marine Solutions is part of the Schulte Group and develops software platforms for maritime operations, finance, and crew management.

    Digital Trade Outlook Analysis
This acquisition reflects a wider shift in maritime technology toward integrated platforms that connect operational and supply chain data. Control over engineering and faster development cycles are becoming key competitive factors. It also highlights how maritime software is increasingly overlapping with enterprise and trade-focused systems.
