Sumsub partners with UAE’s Innovation City to embed compliance into company setup

Sumsub partners with UAE's Innovation City to embed compliance into company setup

Verification provider Sumsub has partnered with Ras Al Khaimah Innovation City, the world’s first free zone dedicated to digital asset companies, AI, Web3 and innovation businesses, to help international firms set up compliant operations in the UAE from day one.

Companies in the Innovation City network get streamlined access to Sumsub’s verification and compliance stack, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB) and related services. The aim is to close the gap between incorporation and operational readiness, so businesses launch already meeting regulatory requirements.

“We’re excited to announce a strategic partnership between Innovation City and Sumsub to simplify compliant business setup for global companies expanding into the UAE,” said Paul Dawalibi, CEO at Innovation City. “Through this collaboration, startups and scaleups in AI, Web3, and emerging technologies will gain seamless access to trusted KYC, KYB, and verification solutions from day one by helping them launch faster, operate securely, and scale with confidence.”

The deal targets companies entering the UAE in AI, Web3, digital assets and other high-growth sectors, building compliance into the setup journey rather than bolting it on later. For Sumsub, it deepens its footprint in one of the region’s leading innovation ecosystems.

“The UAE is one of the world’s most dynamic innovation markets, and we’re proud to become a trusted compliance partner for companies launching their businesses through Innovation City. Our goal is to be the first point of contact for compliance, helping businesses implement the verification infrastructure they need to operate securely, meet regulatory requirements, and scale with confidence,” said Andrew Sever, co-founder and CEO at Sumsub.

Innovation City is a UAE free zone offering a transparent legislative framework for opening and operating virtual asset businesses.
