NICE Actimize has launched the Actimize Insights Network, giving financial institutions real-time visibility into counterparty risk. Built on the company’s Fraud and Financial Crime network, it is designed to stop fraudulent transfers before money moves, without slowing legitimate payments.
The problem it targets is well known. Authorised push payment (APP) scams, business email compromise (BEC) and similar schemes trick genuine customers into paying fraudulent recipients. Traditional controls miss them because the transactions look normal and banks cannot see counterparty risk beyond their own walls.
“Financial crime is borderless, fast-moving, and increasingly sophisticated. No single institution can fight it alone,” said Craig Costigan, CEO, NICE Actimize. “The Actimize Insights Network transforms isolated efforts into a unified force for smarter, faster, and more effective financial crime prevention that strengthens the entire ecosystem.”
The network surfaces risks and patterns no single organisation could spot alone. Banks can block genuinely suspicious transactions, fast-track legitimate ones, and run sharper AML investigations off the same signals.
Those signals span payment types, channels and customer journeys, and serve both fraud interdiction and AML work. The network is built for instant payments, with millisecond response times. Its payee risk intelligence flags high-risk recipients even when the sender’s behaviour looks entirely normal, a blind spot that has long frustrated fraud teams.
Friction is the other half of the equation. Rather than adding checks across the board, the network intervenes only where risk is real, so legitimate payments proceed untouched.
“Collaboration isn’t just a best practice anymore, it is becoming a competitive advantage. Banks cannot fight sophisticated fraud in isolation. NICE Actimize has the client breadth and maturity needed to make network intelligence work at the level required to actually move the needle,” said Trace Fooshee, Strategic Advisor, Datos Insights.
NICE Actimize serves over 1,000 organisations across more than 70 countries in fraud prevention, financial crime detection and regulatory compliance.
