Digital Trade Outlook covers trade finance, transaction banking, cross-border payments and the infrastructure behind global trade. Our readers make decisions with what we publish, so we hold every story to the same standards.
Sourcing
We report from primary sources: company announcements, regulators, central banks, government publications, court and exchange filings, and the people involved. We do not build stories from other publications’ reporting. Where a fact comes from a third party, we say who.
Verification
Before publication we check every name, title, date, figure and quote against its original source. We describe agreements as they are: a memorandum of understanding is not a signed deal, and “nearly $400 million” is not “$400 million”. Where we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out or say it is unconfirmed.
News and analysis
News stories report what happened and why it matters. Our view on a development appears under a clearly labelled heading, “Digital Trade Outlook’s View”, so readers can always tell fact from judgement. Analysis pieces carry our argument throughout and are filed under Analysis.
Executive Voice
Since June 2026, Executive Voice has been open to banks and financial institutions only, and it is free. No one pays to appear, and no one buys a question. Interviewees approve their answers before publication. We correct grammar only, and any change to their wording is disclosed to them. Headlines quote the interviewee’s own words.
Technology providers and other companies can share their perspective through a separate sponsored interview format. It is always labelled as sponsored and is never presented as Executive Voice.
Independence and commercial content
Digital Trade Outlook is an independent publication based in Singapore, with no ties to any bank, technology vendor or industry body. News coverage is never paid for. Advertising and partnerships do not influence what we report or how. Any content produced with a commercial partner is clearly labelled as such.
How we work
Our team uses research and editorial tools to track announcements, filings and data across markets. Every article is checked by our editors against its primary sources before it is published, and responsibility for what we publish rests with Digital Trade Outlook.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the foot of the article. To report an error, email editorial@digitaltradeoutlook.com with the article link and the correction.
